Abstract

The effect of imparities AgNO 3, HgNO 3, CuSO 4, SnCl 2, SbCl 3, As 2O 3, added to the solution for PbS precipitation on the length of induction period and photosensitivity of prepared layers has been investigated. It is established that AgNO 3, HgNO 3 and CuSO 4 shorten the induction period and reduce sensitivity, whereas SnCl 2, SbCl 3 and As 2O 3 prolongate the induction period and augment sensitivity of prepared layers. Photosensitivity of thus prepared layers is more than ten times higher than that of the layers precipitated without impurities. The catalytic effect of investigated impurities is discussed.
