Abstract

The influence of humic substances on the growth of phytopathogenic soil fungi to inhibit Alternaria alternata and Fusarium culmorum was evaluated. A. alternata was shown to exhibit the greatest sensitivity to all kinds of humic substances. F. culmorum was also sensitive to fulvic and humic acids, but to a lesser degree. Fulvic and humic acids and their mixture significantly inhibited conidia germination in the case of A. alternata, while in the case of F. culmorum, the inhibition was not as high.
