Abstract
The administration of hydrocortisone, insulin, testosterone propionate or thyroxine did not alter the free Α-amino nitrogen (FΑ-AN) concentration in plasma. The FΑ-AN concentration in erythrocyte was significantly decreased (p < 0.01) by insulin, whereas after thyroidectomy the value increased (p < 0.02). The FΑ-AN concentration in leucocyte was significantly altered when insulin or thyroxine were administered in rats.
