Abstract
Glioma is the most common primary malignant tumor of central nervous system and has a close relationship with oxidative stress. A novel glutathione (GSH) responsive camptothecin nanoparticle (CPT-SS-mPEG2000 micelle) was synthesized and prepared. CPT-SS-mPEG2000 micelles had better stability of particle size at room temperature and exhibited obvious glutathione responsive effect. The results of apoptosis and HE staining showed that tumor cells and nuclear density were significantly reduced after CPT-SS-mPEG2000 micelles treatment. At the same time, CPT-SS-mPEG2000 micelles could effectively increase the SOD content and decrease the MDA content. CPT-SS-mPEG2000 micelles have significant antioxidative ability and superior therapeutic effect on brain glioma.
