Abstract

Objective To investigate the level of professional commitment and general well-being in undergraduate nursing interns,and analyze the relationships between them.Methods A total of 428 undergraduate nursing interns in Hunan province were investigated by using specialty commitment scale and general well-being scale,and general data questionnaire.Results The score of professional commitment was (89.68 ± l 1.08) and the total average score was (3.32 ± 0.41).The score of general well-being was (83.96 ±11.17),with the score of boys (91.21 ±9.37) and the girls (83.71 ± 11.15),which all significantly above than that of national norm (t =6.472,23.190 ; P < 0.05).And the level of professional commitment was positively with general well-being among undergraduate nursing students.Conclusions The scores of professional commitment and general well-being in undergraduate nursing students should be improved.The educations of undergraduate nursing students should improve the level of professional commitment by improving the level of general well-being,stabilizing students professional ideas,and reducing the loss of nursing leaving.
