Abstract

We present results of an experimental investigation of fatigue resistance characteristics of VT6 titanium alloy plates with washers made of D16AT aluminum alloy, VT3-1 titanium alloy, and 30KhGSA steel and pressed to them. It is established that, under operating loads, the fatigue life of titanium specimens decreases 400 – 750 times as a result of fretting corrosion.
