Abstract

In patients with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), abnormal orbitofrontal cortex (OFC) activity normalizes after fluoxetine treatment. However, little is known about how fluoxetine affects encoding of compulsive behaviors in OFC neurons. Using the Sapap3-KO mouse as a model for OCD-relevant perseverative behaviors, we measured self-grooming related neural activity with in vivo calcium imaging in lateral OFC (LOFC) before and after fluoxetine treatment.
