Abstract

This paper presents an analysis of effect of external load on hemispherical resonator gyroscope (HRG) feedback control system with state constraint. Firstly, the analytical solution of dynamic equation under multi-electrode excitation is obtained based on dynamic equations of resonator in the second-order resonant state. Through analysis, two main reasons that external load influences feedback control system of HRG are got. (1) The change of relative position of actuator electrodes and resonator results from deformation of resonator. (2) The initial electrode gap is changed. Then, precise equation of electrodes range and capacitance gap is built, where deformation of hemispherical resonator under external load is introduced. Through deformation of hemispherical resonator caused by external load, external load has an effect on the feedback control system of HRG. Finally, influence caused by external load is analyzed by simulation system.
