Abstract
A KNOWLEDGE of the resistance of the skin is required for the purpose of studying both the skin itself and systems controlling it. The functioning of the skin of the general body surface—not only the ‘emotively’ responding areas, such as the palms and soles—reflects various physiological and pathological states of the nervous system1–3.
