Abstract

This paper reports a study of Optoelectronic Oscillator (OEO) using dual parallel dynamic control band pass filter (BPF). A new arrangement has been proposed where the static BPF is replaced by a dual dynamic control BPF under the influence of angle modulated synchronizing signal. The governing equation of the proposed system has been derived and the steady state conditions are audited. A considerable improvement in the transmission of two non coherent signals is achieved when two non coherent signals are transmitted through the system. Further, the synchronization capability and total harmonic distortion (THD) of the reconstructed signal of the OEO have been studied. The stability zone has been investigated in detail and it is found that there is no hysteresis or frequency jump phenomenon in the proposed injection synchronized OEO.
