Abstract
The sensitivity of heavy-ion fusion data to the friction form factor in classical trajectory calculations is explored. It is shown that only high energy data can be used for a test of fusion models. However, even here effects of conservative and dissipative terms are entangled with each other.NUCLEAR REACTIONS Fusion, determination of heavy-ion potentials and dissipation strength and form factors from fusion cross sections.
