Abstract

Empathy plays an important role in the process of peer interaction, and cultivating empathy ability is beneficial to realize group cooperative learning. Experience is an important factor affecting empathy. Exploring the influence of experience on empathy ability is beneficial to optimize the design strategy of empathy training video. The purpose of this study is to explore the influence of different types of experiences on empathy. Using the research paradigm of empathy accuracy as a measuring tool, the results show that learners who have observed experience have higher empathy ability than those who have done experience. This conclusion indirectly confirms that the observed experience mentioned in Dell Experience Tower has a higher level of abstraction, and students also need more imagination and a wider field of vision in the process of empathy, which also provides a theoretical basis for the video method to cultivate empathy ability.
