Abstract

Heat regeneration and mass recovery are two ways to improve the cooling performance and the cycle cooling power of an adsorption refrigeration cycle. The definitions of the pressure coefficient of mass recovery and temperature coefficient of heat regeneration are presented in this paper to describe the degree of mass recovery and heat regeneration, as well as to discuss the combined effects of heat regeneration and mass recovery on adsorption refrigeration cycles. Besides, isothermal and adiabatic mass recovery processes are also compared in the paper.
