Abstract
We present the results of investigation of the influence of the level of stresses on the structure and strength of the material in the process of cold plastic deformation. The shafts subjected to testing are made by the method of longitudinal cold rolling from alloyed steel thermally improved to a hardness of HRC 34 prior to forming. It is shown that deformation affects the structure and hardness of the materials.
