Abstract

In March 2020, the French Minister of Health warned against the use of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) like aspirin and ibuprofen, suggesting that their use might be associated with more severe disease presentation in patients with COVID-19.1 This advice was apparently based on unpublished anecdotal reports that patients who had been exposed to NSAIDs developed more severe symptoms of COVID-19.
