Abstract

A theoretical model is proposed for determining the cutter wobble in end mills with mechanical attachment of the replaceable multifaceted plates. The model takes account of the actual dimensions and wobble of the mandrel determining the tool eccentricity. The relation between the wobble of step-shaped teeth and their wear is considered.
