Abstract
In this paper we investigate influence of cut off level and parameters of fading model on outage probability and amount of fading in a wireless communication system. We use α-k-µ distribution to represent mathematical fading model. We derive analytical expressions for n-th moment, amount of fading and outage probability when we use diversity combiner with L input branches at receiver. From obtained analytical expressions we show graphical results of outage probability for different values of parameters α, k and µ and different number of receiver branches.
