Abstract
A dependence of the radius of curvature of a meniscus on the diameter of a manometer tube is found by means of a numerical solution of a differential equation. A modification of the hanging drop method of surface tension measurement based on computer processing of the photographic image of the drop is developed to measure the coefficient of surface tension of a working fluid. Interferometric investigations of the fluctuations of the curvature that determine the error of the manometer are conducted.
