Abstract
Artificial intelligence and machine learning are recent developments in information technology, which have higher influence in solving problems with the support of machine intelligence. Medical domain has wider research problems, which are depending on human like intelligence from machine for addressing the medical problems with accurate results. Genomics is an interesting research area in connection with medical domain where DNA sequencing and modern drug discovery are significant research problems which are depending on better machine intelligence. Artificial intelligence is the best framework for these research issues to make analysis with effective learning mechanism. This chapter discusses the importance of artificial intelligence and machine learning. Influence of artificial intelligence in genomic data is also discussed as a part of this chapter.
