Abstract

The novel brownmillerite-type Cl-contained compound Ba 195 In 2 O 4.9 Cl 0.1 was synthesized, and its structure, hydration processes, electrical properties were investigated. It was found that the Cl-doping of oxygen sublattice in Ba 2 In 2 O 5 led to the replacement of the mixed ionic-hole conductivity to oxygen-ionic conductivity. The anionic heterovalent doping (F - , Cl - ) of perovskite-related matrix led to the improvement of chemical stability against CO 2 and wet vapor.
