Abstract

Adaptation of the gastric glands to thermal load (steam bath) in wrestlers is discussed. Differences in adaptation of the gastric glands to thermal load depending on the weight class, age, and experience. The relationship was found between thermal load responses of the gastric and endocrine glands. The resistance to a steam bath in wrestlers of a middleweight class was combined with endocrine homeostasis maintenance. High sensitivity of the gastric gland in light and light-heavyweight wrestlers was combined with a significant increase in blood gastrin, aldosterone, and a decrease in blood cortisol.
