Abstract

AbstractThrough microstructural analysis of a high purity Fe‐0.027%C alloy after continuously cooling transformation under a magnetic field, it is found that the amount of pearlite of the alloy decreases with the increase of the strength of the magnetic field. Under a 12 Tesla magnetic field, no pearlite appears. The result indicates that the carbon solubility limit of ferrite is enlarged by the magnetic field.
