Abstract

The demand for health care is increasing, and the services of periodic health checks of the people have become a necessity. Because of that, the pressure on medical staff, such as doctors or nurses, has also increased. However, there is no comprehensive study on the causes affecting the work performance of the care team's medical health. Therefore, the present study used the Conservation of resources theory (COR) and Organizational Role Theory (ORT) to examine the factors affecting employee job performance work in the medical field. The study uses a quantitative method by surveying 335 medical staff working in private and public hospitals or general clinics in Ho Chi Minh City, including doctors and nurses. Data analyzed via software Smart PLS 3.0. An outstanding study result showed that Job stress has a positive effect on the medical staff, helping them stay in control of their work and always bring the best care to patients. The study also confirmed the results of Organizational Support, Organizational Commitment, and Organizational justice on the Job performance of employees working in the health sector. The mutual influence of these prefixes was also confirmed experimentally by the study. With this result, medical facilities can better understand the importance of prefixes, especially pressure on work performance, thereby taking remedial measures to change and bring high performance to the organization.
