Abstract
AbstractRecently, non-linear loads have diversified and increased. It results in deterioration of power quality on a distribution system, since the equipment, which includes the non-linear loads, generates harmonics. The harmonics cause not only deterioration of power quality but also further various problems. Nowadays, the state of harmonics is becoming evident by the recent researches. However, since the harmonic analysis by using a detailed model of distribution system is too difficult, the analysis is carried out by a simplified model. In this paper, the authors construct an analytical distribution system model in consideration of the non-linear loads with the harmonic sources based on the practical data. Moreover, the influence analyses of harmonics are carried out by using this model. In addition, the authors estimate the harmonic sources in the simplified distribution system.

The harmonic sources of this analytic model consist of the harmonic current sources and voltage source. This voltage source simulates the harmonics from the other distribution network
Summary
Renewable energy sources such as photovoltaic (PV) generation and wind-power generation has been noticed in Japan in order to break away from dependent on nuclear power. The total number of distributed generation (DG) which is interconnected to a distribution network has been increasing steadily. Along with increase of DGs, the number of inverter and converter interconnected to the distribution system will increase. Such a power electronics equipment generates various harmonics. In the future, the harmonic countermeasure devices such as an active filter or STATCOM (static synchronous compensator) will need to interconnect more. The final step of this study is the establishment of estimation method of harmonic sources at the detailed distribution system. The authors estimate the harmonic sources in the distribution system by separating the harmonic current flowing through the distribution line
