Abstract

For the last two years, Christine Damoisy has been working as a nurse in a rural healthcare centre in Guinea. Responsible for the management of the centre, helped by two assistant translators, she offers consultations, makes diagnoses with remote doctors, prescribes medication, guides patients, cares for wounds and gives advice. In this article she describes her practice.
