Abstract
The whole structure at infinity of linear time-varying systems has been recently defined in the module language; this abstract characterization is translated here in the matrix language. The system considered is defined by a polynomial matrix description with time-varying coefficients. The calculation of infinite system poles, transmission poles, transmission zeros, blocking zeros and hidden modes is explained in the general case and is illustrated through an example. The Smith-McMillan form at infinity of a transfer matrix with time-varying coefficients is also defined and studied.
