Abstract
This study compares the case of infiltration, subject to a constant-head condition, and which quasi-analytical solution is given by Philip, with the solution given by a newly proposed numerical approach. Both solutions are in good agreement. However, because of its computational stability and easy application this new approach is a good tool for the study of infiltration of water in soils.
