Abstract
Heterotopic displacement of the lateral rectus (LR) has been identified in subsets of patients with V-pattern exotropia (XT) through imaging. However, intraoperative discovery and surgical management of inferior displaced LR have not been discussed. The purpose of this study was to describe the preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative findings of patients undergoing surgery for V-pattern XT with an inferiorly displaced LR.
