Abstract

The authors studied how COVID-19 is administered to liver transplant patients and found out that a mechanism to reduce virus virulence in infected liver transplant patients involves the use of immunosuppressant medications, to reduce the cytotoxic strain of the virus during this period. However, in the 21 patients we studied, it was clear that this contingent was constantly receiving immunosuppressive drugs, so they easily went through a period of COVID-19 infection.
