Abstract
In The Road to Unfreedom, Timothy Snyder examines the prospects for Europe and America in light of what he describes as efforts by Russia to exert its influence in democratic processes. Snyder also explains the significance of a little known twentieth-century philosopher and ideologue, Ivan Ilyin, for present-day Russian politics. Paweł Machcewicz shares Snyder’s concerns.
