Abstract

The kinematic and dynamic moments of inertia of several superdeformed bands are calculated as a function of the rotational frequency, treating self-consistently the nuclear deformation and including the effects of pairing correlations. The fingerprints of these correlations are seen even at the highest rotational frequencies.
