Abstract
A number of Pamir experiment γh‐family characteristics most sensitive to total inelasticity ktot in hN14 interactions and pion inelastic charge‐exchange (ICE) probability Wc (intensity, angle distribution, energy spectrum and multiplicity of hadrons) were compared with those calculated in threee hN14 interaction models distinguishing mainly in the ktot value dependence on energy. The energy spectrum of primary cosmic rays (PCR) was chosen by comparison of the simulated Ne spectrum with that measured in Tian‐Shan EAS experiment. Detection of γh families by the emulsion chamber was also included into the simulations. It results from the analysis performed that ktot must be an increasing function of energy, this result does not depend on other properties of the model.
