Abstract
Inelastic scattering of high energy nucleons by nuclei is an important tool to investigate properties of nuclear levels. It is shown that a test regarding the impulse approximation can be performed. The inelastic scattering of 182 Mev protons by C/sup 12/ with energy losses of 4.43, 7.66, and 9.63 Mev is investigated. (W.D.M.)
