Abstract
A coupled channels analysis is performed for 180 MeV antiproton scattering on 12C with two branches of coupling, 0gs+ → 2+ and 0gs+ → 02+, included. Electron scattering form factors and shell model densities are folded with a g-matrix to generate the generalized optical model potentials. The vital importance of multistep processes is shown for the explanation of data.
