Abstract

The angular distribution of pions observed in two-prong π--p interactions in emulsion was investigated. It was shown that π--meson observed in interactions of the type π-+p→p+π-+kπ0 (k=1,2, ...) are collimated forward in the π-π center-of-mass system. This result indicated that a certain fraction of the observed events corresponds to elastic π-π-scattering having diffraction character.
