Abstract

The dependence of the efficiency of epidural analgesia on a number of medical factors, such as experience and qualification of doctors and appropriate medical equipment was studied in this article. It is shown that epidural catheter design can significantly affect the quality of perioperative anesthesia in cancersurgery: the frequency of epidural veins perforation, paresthesia, development of mosaic epidural block is lower when using epidural catheter with six lateral holes versus catheter with three lateral holes.
