(eds.), Selected Topics in Coastal Research: Engineering, Industry, Economy, and Sustainable Development. Journal of Coastal Research, Special Issue No. 94, pp. 803–807. Coconut Creek (Florida), ISSN 0749-0208.Industry-finance integration (IFI) has been one of the main economic characteristics and trends in modern society. With small and medium-sized Chinese enterprises in southeast coastal areas as the research object and from the perspective of IFI degree, this paper first uses case studies to analyze the characteristics and development trend of industry-finance integration and exhibits the three modes and realization approaches of IFI, then takes the degree of IFI as the IFI-efficiency-mode evaluation index to determine the best IFI mode for the targeted enterprise. The results show that the integration mode under the optimal degree of IFI will help enterprises in the southeast coastal areas of China achieve the highest production efficiency as well as the largest shareholders' rights and interests, which provides the enterprises in study a theoretical basis to decide the optimal mode of IFI.
