Abstract

This paper shows the results of experimental investigations in industrial wastewater treatment by electrochemical processes, the first one uses iron electrocoagulation and the second employs boron-doped diamond electrooxidation. The coupled treatment reduced chemical oxygen demand (COD) by 99 %, color by 100 % and turbidity by 100 %. The initial and final quality levels in the wastewater were monitored using UV-Vis spectrometry and cyclic voltammetry.
