Abstract

This paper presents the design of an academic level simulation for an industrial plant and the current status of practice activities proposed for an undergraduate course on industrial automation for electronic engineering students. Strongly focused on professional processes and methods, in particular, it deals with the specific activities developed by electronic engineers at the lower levels of the automation pyramid.
