Abstract

Sara Puglioli earned her MSc in medicinal chemistry and pharmaceutical technologies at the Università degli Studi di Firenze in 2020. Sara moved to Basel for a 9-month opportunity in industry, where she worked as a research associate at SpiroChem. At SpiroChem, she designed, planned, and performed custom multi-step syntheses. Sara moved to Zürich in 2021 to start her industrial doctoral studies (jointly with IUSS Pavia) at Philochem, a Swiss-Italian company founded by ETH Prof. Dario Neri with his brothers Duccio and Giovanni. Her PhD project focuses on DNA-encoded chemical libraries and the application of this technology in the discovery of novel tumor-targeting ligands.
