Abstract

The study of reliability and safety of systems includes three complementary approaches: physics of failure, algebraic representation and probabilistic modeling. This paper presents a numerical simulation model of failure modes in water thermohydraulic systems and its associated package. In the physics of failure approach, they constitute an efficient tool for the study of failure mode effects in such systems. This tool, especially adapted for the design, permits to integrate the failure modes study at this step. It is possible to integrate this model in more general ones of risk control or expert systems.
