Abstract

Women with obesity (body mass index of 30 kg/m2) are more likely to have inductions of labor, longer labor courses, or failed inductions. Translational research suggests this may be due to different utilization of oxytocin among women with obesity. We aimed to explore the relationship between body mass index (BMI) and oxytocin utilization for women undergoing an induction of labor.
