Abstract

The technical and metrological characteristics of the 8-mm-diameter inductance transducers that are the most widely used in different countries around the world for linear measurements are considered. Certain structural and metrological shortcomings that must be taken into account in the course of use are described. Suggestions for altering the design of inductance transducers in order to increase the quality of measurements are given.
