Abstract

This paper presents a novel method of inductance calculation for the incomplete loop problem. This method is based on the relationship between inductance and induced voltage from the circuit theory. The method embarks from Faraday's Law, and calculates induced voltage of every flux element. Total induced voltage is given by summation of elements and then the inductance value is obtained. Numerical calculations are made for showing that this method is available and more accurate than partial inductance theory. The method may also be applied toward complete loop problems, and gives identical formulas as existing methods.
