Abstract

The paper presents a methodology and software for determining the voltage, induced in a disconnected ungrounded conductor by the other non-disconnected phase conductors of a three-phase power line. Mathematical models have been obtained for determining the contact voltage, caused by the induced voltage in a disconnected ungrounded conductor of 20 kV and 110 kV three-phase power lines by implementing experimental design techniques. The proposed methodology and software will be useful for engineers in the operation of high-voltage power lines, for students in their training and in investigating practice incidents.
