Abstract

AbstractA calculation is presented of the polarization charge density induced by an electron in a polar semiconductor subjected to a magnetic field. The result, which is derived for the anisotropic Feynman polaron model studied earlier, is expected to be applicable for arbitrary values of the electron—phonon coupling strength (α), temperature (T), and magnetic field strength (ℋ︁).
