Abstract

The results of magnetic measurements performed on (GdxY1−x)2Fe14B compounds, in the temperature range 4.2 K and 1000 K are firstly reported. Then, the molecular field coefficients characterizing the magnetic interactions inside and between magnetic sublattices, as well as the exchange fields acting on the Fe atoms are determined. The variations of themean iron momrnts, as compared to x=0 value, are linear dependent on those of the exchange fields. Similar behavior is observed for TM=Fe or Co in (GdxY1−x)TMm, Gd(TMyAl1−y)m and U(FexTM1−x’)2 compounds with TM’=Co, Mn, Ni, or Al and m=2, 3, and 3.5. The composition dependence of TM moments in the above systems is mainly attributed to the variation of the exchange interactions.
