Pros Sem Nas Masy Biodiv Indon 1: 1005-1010. The diversity of natural enemies in the field is influenced by the environment and the use of pesticides. The purposes of this research were to identify the predators and parasitoids family and determine the level of their diversity, richness, and abundance. The study was conducted on shallot crop in Alahan Panjang area where yet the pesticide is being used intensively. The experimental plot of onion was categorized as with and without insecticide. Sampling was executed using pitfall traps, insect net, and yellow pan trap. All collected predators and parasitoids were identified at the family level. Five predator and four parasitoid families were determined in the land with applied insecticide such as Oxyopidae (Araneae), Carabidae (Coleoptera), Forficulidae, Anisolabididae (Dermaptera) and Formicidae (Hymenoptera) for predators, and Tachinidae (Diptera), Braconidae, Ichneumonidae, and Tiphidae (Hymenoptera) for parasitoids. Likewise, six predator and four parasitoid families were obtained in the land without insecticide namely Oxyopidae (Araneae), Coccinellidae, Lampyridae, Stephilinidae, Cicindelidae (Coleoptera) and Forficulidae (Dermaptera) for predators, and Tachinidae (Diptera), Braconidae, Tiphidae and Ichneumonidae (Hymenoptera) for parasitoids. The level of diversity, richness, and abundance of predators and parasitoids were higher in the land without insecticide in comparison with the land with using insecticide.
