Surya MI, Astuti IP. 2017. Diversity and potential of floras in the Protected Forest area of Mount Pesagi, West Lampung. Pros Sem Nas Masy Biodiv Indon 3: 211-215. Mount Pesagi is one of the protected forest areas managed by the Forestry Services, West Lampung District, Lampung Province. Data and information related to the diversity and the potential of floras in this area were still very limited. This study aimed to determine the condition of the vegetation of forest and to inventory the diversity and the potential of floras in the Protected Forests area of Mount Pesagi. Based on the observations of vegetation, it could be classified as a primary forest that had a sufficient level of tree density (40-70% canopy cover) with a good vegetation condition. Furthermore, there were 337 species of plants that consisted of 222 species of nonorchid and 115 species of orchid in the Protected Forest area of Mount Pesagi. In the other hand, nearly 50% of plants that collected had potentials as timber, medicinal plants, fruit crops or ornamental plants.
