The aim of this research was to identify growth and productivity of several new superior varieties (VUB) and locally swamp rice through the approach of Integrated Crop Management (ICM). The studies were conducted in tidal swamp land of Ogomatanang Village, Lampasio Sub-district, Toli-Toli District, Central Sulawesi Province, from July until October 2012. The method used was a Randomized Block Design with five replications. Five new superior varieties were studied, namely Mendawak, Banyuasin, Dendang, Inpara 3 and Inpara 5, and also two local varieties namely Crystals and Bari-bari. The results showed that: (i) growth of seven varieties studied were good, with low to moderate criteria; (ii) there were two new superior varieties that reach production over 7 t/ha GKP, namely Banyuasin (7.99 t/ha) and Mendawak (7.08 t/ha). Positive preferences (very like-like) farmers to new superior varieties of swamp rice studied were Banyuasin (100%), Mendawak (88%), Inpara 3 (36%), Dendang (4%) and Inpara 5 (0%).
